Done With Bullying Seminar
Karate America DeForest presents “Done with Bullying,” a free anti-bullying seminar for children ages 6-14 on Sunday, October 19 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
The free program is aimed at teaching practical strategies for identifying and dealing with bullying behavior and how to “buddy” rather than “bully” others. Bullying is still a huge problem, and we believe that no other industry is better equipped to end bullying than martial arts. The seminar will be presented in four parts and includes interaction between students and instructor and lots of practice on ideas and concepts.
- Part 1 - What is bullying? Why do people do it? Why it is bad to bully others?
- Part 2 - What should we/shouldn't we do when we see others being bullied?
- Part 3 - How should you deal with bullying?
- Part 4 - Buddying
Karate America DeForest is a proud member of Martial Artists Against Bullying, an international organization devoted to ending bullying once and for all. Karate America is a full service martial arts school serving students ages 3 and up. Fitness classes - cardio kickboxing, Strength and Tone, Zumba - are offered for students 13 and up. We are located at 318 North Main Street, DeForest, WI 53532.
